摘要
A texture analysis technique is presented, based on multi-resolution Fourier analysis of images. Conventional subimage Fourier analysis produces results which are not easily assimilated. This paper proposes the use of colour to give an accessible display of such results. The described colour coding can, in principle, be applied in conjunction with any texture analysis algorithm. Application of the technique to medical magnetic-resonance images is given as an example.
