摘要：
In order to give a picture of the seismicity of the Valencia trough, recent instrumental data are considered together with macroseismic epicentres of earthquakes which have occurred since 1907. A synthesis and interpretation of available earthquake mechanisms is undertaken. Mechanisms point to a predominant compressive regime in this region which, during the Neogene, was characterized by a extensional regime.
