摘要
The first wall and blanket structural materials so far used in design study of tokamak fusion reactors were reviewed in terms of fusion power and coolant materials. Characteristic properties required for the reactor were discussed on austenitic stainless steel, nickel base alloys, refractory metals and low active materials. The stainless steel and nickel base alloys should be developed to have good resistance to radiation damage in cooperation with breeder reactor material program. Improvement of joining and radiation embrittlement is required for molybdenum alloy to be used as protection wall for JXFR or other blanket structural member. © 1979, Atomic Energy Society of Japan.
