摘要
The problem of propagation of shear delamination cracks in the vicinity of unfastened openings in laminated plates being bent under pressure has been studied. The study is based on both fracture mechanics energy principles and an approximate plate theory. Some examples are investigated by exact methods to examine the accuracy of the approximate method. The approximate method is used to study processes of delamination in orthotropic plates in order to obtain some qualitative evaluation of the delamination behaviour.
