ORGANIZATION SOFTWARE FOR SYSTEMATICALLY BACKING THE OPERATING PERMIT (SYSTEM ENSURING THAT PERMIT CRITERIA ARE MET)

The efforts made by all operators of nuclear plants are concentrated on safety and availability. In optimizing the use of nuclear installation, understandably, technical measures are in the foreground of interest. Extensive backfitting measures were started and completed. As a consequence, nuclear facilities in the Federal Republic of Germany enjoy the highest standard of technical safety. In addition, changes have also been made in the administrative and organizational sectors. Thus, quality assurance systems have been introduced in nuclear facilities over the past ten years. While there was a reluctance initially to recognize the benefits of this additional quality assurance system, it has meanwhile been appreciated that there is a need also to monitor organizational procedures.
