This essay offers a short analysis, based on the work of the Spanish writer Rosa Chacel, which attempts to focus on philosophical and literary relationships between memory and writing. From this perspective, it proposes a study of the differences and convergences between "autobiography" and "confession" as literary genres in which the writing becomes memory, or recollection, in its many facets.
