摘要
Using experimental data of the spectral solar transmission, the optical thickness of cirrus clouds in visible and IR-region wavelength is determined. The necessity to exclude the scattering radiation from the transmission measurements is shown. The calculations by Mi theory for the evaluation of the part of the scattered radiation are performed. The obtained experimental results and optical characteristics of cirrus clouds calculated in the models are compared. The conclusion about the possibility of the determination of the effective size of cloud particles is made.
