摘要
LDV measurements were made to compare and to validate computations of flow pressure drop in a cyclone separator by an analytical solution with approximation of constant viscosity and solution based on the k-ε{lunate} turbulence model. Results explain the significance of the solid-body core of the vortex and the difficulty of the k-ε{lunate} method when applied to vortex motion. A method of improving the performance of the cyclone separator with a central body was illustrated. © 1990.
