EXCITED-STATE TAUTOMERIZATION IN PORPHYCENES STUDIED BY POLARIZED SPECTROSCOPY

摘要
A method of determination of the directions of electronic transition moments is proposed, based on fluorescence anisotropy measurements. It is applicable to molecules which exhibit fast ''narcissistic'' reactions in the excited state. Porphycene, a molecule which undergoes double proton transfer in its lowest excited singlet state, is considered as an example.
