摘要
Based on present understanding, modelling of edge plasma conditions and divertor performance of ITER indicates that there is reasonable flexibility in the choice of main plasma operating conditions. In particular, conditions compatible with both physics ignition and technology phase requirements have been identified. Nevertheless, the choice of divertor plate material may be limited and there are potentially severe problems in the case of high power non-inductive current drive at low plasma densities.
