摘要
In order to differentiate multilamellar vesicles consisting of pure drug from conventional liposomes, Vaizoglu and Speiser introduced the term pharmacosome in 1986. The present contribution deals with pharmacosomes produced by dilution of lyotropic liquid crystals formed by amphiphilic drug molecules such as fenoprofen salt and acid. Structural models of the liquid crystals, the vesicles and mixed micellar solutions are proposed as well as an explanation given for the different phase transitions. Stabilization of the vesicles is attained by addition of low amounts of phospholipids.
