摘要
The adaptive function of the psychological sovereignty as a trait facet is investigated. Its connection with negative and positive affect, and indicators of symptomatic depression (lack of positive emotions, sadness, somatization, interpersonal problems) is discovered. 288 (89 males) respondents, 199 youth, Mage=19.5, and 89 adults, Mage=32.8, participated in the survey. Our tools were The Psychological Sovereignty Questionnaire -2010 (Nartova-Bochaver, 2014), PANAS (Thompson, 2007), The CES-D scale (Radloff, 1977; Andryuschenko et al., 2003). The multiple regression analysis was used. It is found that the sovereignty level as well as negative affect and depression level are slightly higher in youth as compared with adults. Moreover, the connection between the sovereignty and affects differs depending on the age. Whereas the sovereignty predicts the favor affects in youth, it doesn't impact on the emotional resilience in adults. Results are discussed from the perspective of development tasks in youth and adulthood and in regard to the middle-life crisis.
