摘要：
The problem of the static stability of cylindrical magnetic domains is considered in the light of a theorem due to Sommerfeld and Bopp. It is suggested that this method is more useful than the more usual magnetostatic energy approach when a synthesis of new devices is required. This is illustrated by a brief discussion of "ring" domains.
