摘要：

In this text I will discuss several paths of the Russian icon painting in the 20th century. Its history can be seen through the optics proposed by Panofsky, by comparing works of art with contemporary intellectual constructs and establishing their common essential characteristics. This can be applied directly to the icon painting because of the unique role of art at that time, especially in the first half of the 20th century.
