摘要
The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the dodecaborides YB12, TbB12, DyB12, HoB12, ErB12, TmB12, YbB12 and LuB12 over the temperature range 90-1200 K was studied. The experimental data were compared with the theory based on 4f localized electrons and Van Vleck's theory of paramagnetism. An explanation using the RudermanKittel-Kasuya-Yoshida model is also given; this is based on the interaction between the rare earth metal ions in high borides which have a boron framework structure. © 1979.
