VISUALIZATION OF LAMB MODE-PATTERNS IN A GLASS PLATE

摘要
Using a stroboscopic photoelastic method, the visualization is carried out of various mode patterns of Lamb waves propagating in a glass plate. Observed results are compared with theoretical mode patterns. Visualization of resonant Lamb modes also provides a means for measuring phase velocities of various Lamb modes. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical curves.
