摘要
The optical energy levels of Mn2+ ion in solids are shown to be modified by the lattice vibrations. The spectral shift is calculated within the framework of covalent model treating only the acoustic phonons and the low energy part of the Debye lattice spectrum. Significant shift in the optical spectrum due to lattice vibrations is found.
