摘要
This study concerns the optimal design of a centrifugal pump impeller for chemical processes. In the optimal design process for a centrifugal pump impeller made of Teflon, the blade thickness at the outlet is included as an additional design variable along with the traditional variables in centrifugal impeller design, such as the axial extension (P-1), hub and shroud profiles (P-2 and P-3), and the blade twist angle at the outlet (P-4). As a result, it is concluded that the blade thickness at the outlet (P-5) is a very important design variable for a centrifugal pump made of Teflon to prevent chemical reaction.
