摘要：

Daily 8 hour HDTV broadcasting started in Japan on November 25th, 1991, by using broadcast satellite. For example, sports relay programs, entertainments, documentaries and dramas are broadcasted every day. The conduct of the daily 8 hour HDTV broadcasting is accelarating the progress of many HDTV facilities. By this progress, HDTV facilities in broadcast stations and HDTV home receivers on the market are being more compact, with higher performance and with lower prices.
