摘要
A total of 309 selected sera were tested by a μ capture ELISA for M. pneumoniae antibodies. There was a good correlation when samples tested were either negative or positive by both the complement fixation test (CFT) and indirect agglutination (IA); 87% and 99% concordant results being recorded on the respective groups. Samples positive only by CFT (91) or by IA (54) were also tested, only those with very raised titres by CFT (>640) or IA (>160) having 100% concordant results by ELISA IgM. The ELISA results are discussed for samples with lower but positive CFT and IA titres. © 1990.
