摘要
The distribution coefficients for some 40 elements in a hydrochloric acid medium are surveyed with a weakly basic phenol condensation type resin, Amberlite CG4B. The acid concentration range, mostly 1 to 9M, are covered. The anion exchange with Amberlite CG4B makes it possible to effect some separations like the rare earths-Th, Te(IV)-Bi(III), Sn(IV)-Sb(III), which are difficult with a strongly basic anion exchange resin in pure aqueous hydrochloric acid solutions. The results on 32 two-component separations are presented and 4 multicomponent elution profile curves are illustrated to demonstrate the utilization of distribution coefficient measurements for separations. © 1968, American Chemical Society.
