摘要
Blood pressure readings at night do not show a decrease of pulse pressure as it should be expected following the drop of diastolic pressure. The functional connection between these 2 parameters is caused by the exponential shape of aortic elasticity. As shown by Fourier analysis the amount of pulsatile power ejected from the heart is big enough to be used as an essential part of the energy needed for the back flow of blood. Lack of this power transformation could then only be completed by higher blood pressure.
