摘要
In several casting processes, directional solidification by the use of an end-chill is used to produce steep temperature gradients within the casting. In the present work, metal-mould heat transfer coefficients are obtained by using experimental and computer simulation results of lead solidifying in end-chill experiments. The results are discussed in view of previous work.
