摘要
The authors of the paper studied the issue of compiling a dictionary of phraseological antonyms. The main goal of the researchers was to analyze the main problems to be solved by those who decide to compile a dictionary of phraseological antonyms. The authors spoke of the importance to understand the relationship between linguistic units and to have a clear vision of the structure of the dictionary entry. For the study purposes, the authors thoroughly examined the issue under consideration with the help of such research methods as the method of comparison, the component analysis method, the interpretative method and some others. The authors managed to enunciate the general principles of compiling a dictionary of phraseological antonyms as well as the principles of lexicographical description of phraseological antonyms for both the monolingual and bilingual dictionaries. The study aimed to assist creators and compilers of phraseological dictionaries to solve problems, which start at the stage of the selection of the material to be provided in the dictionary and end at the stage of making the list of used abbreviations and symbols.
