The present work is to make a presentation of the work of Th. W. Adorno in relation to his reading of the idealist dialectic. For this reason, emphasis will be placed, in the first place, in noting the relationship between metaphysics and politics, within the hegelian system, and then proceed to the criticism which Adorno performs to such articulation. In this way, the thesis based on the correlation between the principle of identity and the exchange of equivalents, shall give rise to the consecration of a particular kind of domination that requires the presence of the State to become effective. In front of this theoretical frame, the proposal of Adorno will release the force of the particular, destabilizing the metaphysical engineering that gives sustenance. The consequence of such intervention should be to question the paradigm of reconciliation, opening the way to the notion of emancipation, which allows the coexistence of the multiple and different.
