摘要
On the basis of normal mode perturbation theory, the theoretical values of the Chandler wobble' Q(Q(w)) are derived by assuming that the wobble energy is totally dissipated due to the friction of mantle anelasticity and by using Zschau's mantle rheology model. The results obtained are in good agreement with most of the astronomical observations. The analyses show that mantle anelasticity is likely to be the most important dissipative source of the Chandler wobble energy, and the theoretical Q(w) is 60-70. Other theoretical parameters of the Chandler wobble are also given in this paper. The parameter alpha of the absorption band model is calculated, and the applicability of the model is studied. The relation between Q(w) and the mantle Q(Q(m)) is discussed as well.
