摘要
The possible participation of the SSB-protein in DNA replication in cells of eukaryotes was investigated on the example of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC). A direct proportionality (coefficient of correlation calculated on a computer 0.9) was demonstrated between the content of the SSB-protein in chromatin and the intensity of replicative DNA synthesis of various cell preparations of EAC in vivo and in vitro. It was shown that the addition of exogenous SSB-protein to EAC cells, permeable to macromolecules, substantially increases replicative synthesis. Evidently, although the SSB-proteins of eukaryotes are not complete analogs of the prokaryotic proteins, they participate in DNA replication in the cells of higher organisms and may serve as intracellular regulators of proliferation.
