At what Level of Supersaturation should Crystallisation be Performed? An attempt is made to establish the optimum degree of supersaturation for crystallisation from solution of any desired pure system on the basis of physical models. The recommendations are based on numerous experimental results obtained with crystallisers of various designs and modes of operation for numerous pure substances, and are independent of the scale of the equipment and its operating conditions.
