The heavy fermion semi-conductors, such as Ce3BiAPt3 or CeNiSn, are modeled by the Anderson Lattice Hamiltonian. In the limit of large coulomb interaction, the strong electron-electron correlations can be re-expressed in terms of slave bosons. The resulting model is treated in the mean field approximation. In this approximation, the model exhibits a transition between a low temperature semi-conducting state and a high temperature state. The high temperature state may be characterized as having an uncorrelated metallic conduction band and a set of independent local moments, whereas the low temperature state can be described as a highly correlated indirect pp semi-conductor. The dynamic magnetic response function is calculated, for the low temperature phase.
