摘要
The electrochemical behavior of WO3 films in the presence of a proton-conducting polymer electrolyte (polyethylene oxide-H3PO4) was studied using cyclic voltammetry, potentiostatic and optical density measurements. It was found that this kind of electrolyte increases the memory effect of the colored material. The reaction mechanism is made up to two simultaneous reactions: the intercalation of the proton into the host structure and the formation of molecular hydrogen. The latter reaction involves the formation and the superficial diffusion of adsorbed hydrogen.
