摘要
Surfactants are molecules with a polar and a nonpolar part. They have affinity for the interfaces and have the ability to reduce interfacial tension. Surfactants are adsorbed at liquid-liquid interfaces and can stabilize emulsions. The addition of alcohol can change the properties of surfactants, such as surface tension, surface area, molecular conformation, solubilizing surfactant association structure, adsorption, etc.. Alcohols depending on its chemical structure can be distributed among the oil and aqueous phase. Then, the understanding of the interaction between the surfactant and the alcohol is important for chemical formulations.
