摘要
The systems approach to the problem of strength as a methodology of scientific cognition assumes that the properties of the complex object of research (the system) do not reduce to a simple sum of the properties of its individual elements and that the system can possess properties and qualities not present in its elements. Mathematical systems theory utilizes two kinds of equations to describe the system behavior. First is the equation of state. The second is an equation of the input-state-output type. The authors note that taking the solutions for the strength of structures or for the suitability of any material is carried out under uncertainty conditions due to the presence of factors not conformable to the estimate. The systems approach that poses the problem of developing multiparametric models reflecting all the factors and relations in real materials to a greater degree, will contribute to lowering the risk level in resolving strength questions.
