摘要：

In this article, the author presents a brief historical perspective of the ecumenical movement in Latin America, with attention to the trajectory of the CLAI - Latin American Council of Churches - and other organizations who seek the unity of faith and evangelical testimony. In order to provide an ecumenism open to the 21 century, he proposes three attitudes which belong to the spirit of Christian faith: conviviality, confidence and solidarity. These characteristics need to be developed for the credibility of the Christian testimony in a divided and contradictory world.
