ANALYSIS OF A SHAFT EMBEDDED IN GRANULAR HALF-SPACE BY THE LINE-LOADED INTEGRAL-EQUATION METHOD

摘要
This paper presents the analysis of a shaft by the line-loaded integral equation method. The shaft is considered to be an elastic cylindrical shell, with constant or step-varied thickness, with or without hinged supports, embedded in a granular half space under the action of gravity. The problem is reduced to a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind and its numerical result is given.
