摘要
The purpose of this paper is to study - from a popular Mexican song-, oblivion and memory in men and women. The author exposes that women retain and forget differently, either by their dissimilar performances in the public and private sphere, as well as the constraints of the cultural contexts in which they performe. Thus, based on the concepts of oral history, she proposes to show how oral techniques contribute to the understanding of what is said and what is not said in a song written by a woman land sang by a man. This work is focused to analyse what is forgotten and what is kept in peoples' memory and their respective performances in men and women.
