EFFECT OF SOURCE AND MODE OF SULFUR APPLICATION ON YIELD OF GROUNDNUT (ARACHIS-HYPOGAEA)

摘要：
An experiment was conducted during the rainy seasons of 1986-88 to study the effect of sources and mode of sulphur application on groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) production. Soil incorporation of 35 kg S/ha, through 270 kg gypsum/ha, 30 days before sowing increased the pod yield significantly by 537 kg/ha over the control which produced 2,432 kg/ha pod yield. The treatment was highly remunerative with benefit : cot ratio of more than 23.
