摘要
In this study, International Geographical Union, 1992 International Charter on Geographical Education was analyzed by using literature evaluation includes context and integral evaluations. The charter was translated into 21 languages just after it was published but not into Turkish, and it hasn't been evaluated in Turkey until today. In this context, this study is important in point of it is translated into Turkish the first time. In geographical education, it caused to be waited until the reform of Ministry of National Education about curriculum; it is because it couldn't be caught such international process. As a result of this process, it was developed a reverse process instead of in a term that it was needed to be occurred some developments in geographical education. Hence in geographical education, it should be translated into Turkish of Works, publications, reports, charters and so on in special periods by geography educators, geographical institutions. This action is very important and needed to transform of international tendencies towards geographical education.
