The conformational equilibrium of a number of deuterated 4-mono- and trans-4,5-disubstituted cyclohexenes has been studied by NMR spectroscopy and the values of ΔGR for different R-substituted (at C4) cyclohexenes determined. It is shown that the so-called supra-annular effect" does not exist as a special kind of conformational interaction. © 1969."
