摘要
Re2(CO)10 adsorbed on hydroxylated alumina support was found to be bonded to the surface by physisorption. In the dark, only very slow surface reaction, if any, takes place. UV irradiation of the cluster supported on alumina leads to formation of rhenium tricarbonylic surface species [(OH)Re(CO)3]4 and Re(CO)3(OAl)(HOAl)2 of very high thermal stability (< 673 K). The alumina surface directs the reaction such that only the above tricarbonylic species form, in contrast to the photo-induced reaction in solutions, from which a series of intermediates and byproducts is usually obtained.
