摘要
The aim of the study is to present development of anestheic techniques and drugs used in polish dentistry in XIX and XX century. First operations with general anesthesia were performed in dentistry but after the discovery of local anesthesia the usage of narcosis was reduced. Most often used drugs were cocaine, procaine and next lidocaine. Antoni Cieszynski, Jozef Jarzab and Henryk Hilarowicz were important people in this part of dental history. Their anestheic techniques are used nowdays.
