摘要
Stable isotopes of benthic ostracods and molluscs in sediment cores from Lake Starnberg and Lake Ammersee (Bavaria) are controlled by species-dependent fractionation, water temperature and lake-specific hydrological effects. Taking these effects into account, we can estimate the past oxygen isotope variations of the meteoric water. This has led to an improved reconstruction of mean annual air temperatures (MAAT) in southern Germany over the last 14 000 years.
