摘要：

The paper aims to determine whether the intra-party discipline affects political corruption. This paper uses a measure of programmatic parties, issued by the Democratic Accountability and Linkages Project. The estimates show that programmatic political parties has a positive and significant impact on indicators of transparency. This is because most organized political parties take less discretionary decisions, reducing the opportunities for political corruption.
