In a globally technology competitive dynamic situation, each country imports some technologies from some countries and exports technologies to some other countries to maintain technology balance and foster technical alliance with other countries to complement and supplement its own technological strength. In a market driven economy, there may be a need to develop strategies to balance out technology import and export as an eventual goal in electronics sector. Indian electronics has developed a large number of applications and products which are solutions to problems faced in developing countries which are very different from developed countries. These technologies and technical solutions could be of relevance to a large number of countries. Part I (published in Electronics - Information & Planning, October 1992 issue), had presented 30 electronics technologies or group of technologies and applications, which have been predominantly developed with the support and certain involvement of Department of Electronics. As a sequel, on the basis of extensive interaction with electronics industry, 40 more technologies/cluster of technologies are available from electronics industry for export. This serial is part of efforts of DOE to focus on exportable electronics technologies available from India.
