摘要
The stationary problem of flow around a body of arbitrary shape is considered on the basis of the linear Boltzmann equation for the perturbation of the distribution function. A reformulation of the problem is made, in which the functions required are the odd part of the distribution function with respect to the velocity vector, pressure and temperature of the gas. A variational principle is formulated for the new problem, and it is established that its functional has a minimax extremum.
