摘要
The present investigation had the purpose of identifying the characteristics that sustain the transformational leadership in a group of teachers of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the University of the Zulia, The investigation is framed in a descriptive design, not experimental, of field and of transverse court. The population object study was constituted by 60 teachers of the Faculty of Architecture and Design. Was analyzed the information obtained of the qualified questionnaire: Transformational leadership in the University teacher 2011, designed by the authors, based on the instruments sufficiently validated of Bass and Avolio (1991). The results observed in this investigation report a value of arithmetic mean (X) over bar = 3,52, Which indicates a high-level labor performance, based on the implicit factors in this theory: charisma, individual consideration, motivation and intellectual stimulation. Likewise was determined that the teachers of both schools do not promote in his performance, the psychological tolerance as a key factor in the academic dynamics, report an arithmetic mean (X) over bar = 2,39, value that is located in an insufficient range.
