摘要
In a conventional water treatment plant in Singapore, a levy was being paid for directly discharging sludge (from floccu-lators, clarifiers and filters) into a nearby public sewer. Site configuration and high treatability costs ruled out the possibility of having in-situ facilities for treatment of the alum-lime sludge. Hence a study was undertaken to assess the impact of recycling some of the lesser potent fractions of this sludge and to appraise the economic viability of this proposal. © 1990, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
