摘要
A numerical procedure that employs the finite element method and the state variables approach is proposed to analyse the critical condition of a crack in an aging viscoelastic body under sustained load. A far field solution proposed by Schapery is used. An example shows how a crack can become critical after some finite time that depends on the characteristics of the concrete.
