SEARCH FOR HE-3 SUPERFLUIDITY AND MEASUREMENT OF HE-3 INERTIAL EFFECTIVE-MASS IN HE-3-HE-4 MIXTURE FILMS

摘要：

We have performed torsional oscillator experiments with He-3- He-4 mixture films adsorbed on Ag powder. A Be-Cu torsional oscillator has been cooled to 900muK with a PrNi5 nuclear refrigerator. With a precision of 2x10(-4) He-3 atoms/angstrom-2 in the resonant frequency measurement, we have found no evidence for a He-3 superfluid transition. The results of measurements of He-3 inertial effective mass are also reported.
