摘要：

The article describes F. Sologub's pedagogical views and is based on the materials of his journalistic writings and fiction. It aims at relating his ideas of goals and tasks of school education to L. Tolstoy's, Mendeleev's and J.-J. Rousseau's pedagogics. For the first time, the article focuses on F. Sologub's idea of a closed educational establishment. A comparative analysis of Sologub's journalistic and fictional writings illustrates the way his ideological position and creative identity were formed.
