MAGNETOSTRICTION MEASUREMENTS ON CO-BASE AMORPHOUS ALLOYS

摘要：
The magnetostriction of (CoNiFe)(Si, B) thin amorphous ribbons is measured with high accuracy making use of the stress dependence of the magnetization curve. In the CoFe base system magnetostriction is found to change its sign at 4.6 at% Fe. Addition of Ni shifts the composition of zero magnetostriction to higher Fe content. In the CoNi system no zero magnetostriction is observed in the ferromagnetic range. Amorphous ribbons with low magnetostriction exhibit outstanding magnetization curves with low coercive fields (Hc ≦ 10 mA/cm), even the unannealed state. Copyright © 1979 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
